Ahh, nostalgia. Between VH1’s I Love the 2000s and National Geographic’s The ’90s: The Last Great Decade?, it appears that there’s been a whole lot of looking back at our fairly recent history. But how do people really feel about the turn of the century?

Through a survey, Nat Geo gauged America’s attitudes toward the ’90s specifically, asking whether it really was “The Last Great Decade.” Here are the pop culture results:

Titanic (21%) finished in a statistical tie for best movie of the decade with Forrest Gump (22%). Leonardo DiCaprio was voted the most crush-worthy male celebrity with 28% of the votes, while John Stamos followed closely behind with 23% and Mark Wahlberg had 16%.

Titanic’s leading lady, Kate Winslet, however, was not the apple of most men’s eyes. Instead, 3 in 10 men chose Friends star Jennifer Aniston as the female icon they were crushing on. Married With Children’s Christina Applegate came in second at a very close 27%.

On the television front, Seinfeld, the “show about nothing,” just barely beat out X-Files, the “show about aliens,” for favorite show of the decade. The prior took home first prize with 18%, while the latter was just inches behind at 17%. Friends came in third for favorite show at 15%, but Joey Tribiani’s (Matt LeBlanc) classic pickup line “How you doin?” was chosen as the ’90s TV line people are most likely to quote. I personally enjoy “Go home, Roger!” from Sister Sister, and use it more frequently than one might expect, but hey, that’s just me.

Lastly, sorry Cory and Topanga, Friends’ Ross and Rachel were selected as the nation’s favorite TV couple of the decade, winning with 32%. Mulder and Scully of X-Files came in second with 23%, and Kelly and Zack from Saved by the Bell placed third at 13%.

The ’90s premieres Sunday, July 6, at 9 p.m. ET on National Geographic Channel.
